The unoffiical afterparty for this weekends Westword Music Showcase. Stay Up Saturdays is becoming one of the best destinations for your Saturday dance needs. Get in for free with your festival wristband.

The Westword Music Showcase returns to the Golden Triangle on Saturday, June 25! Our 22nd annual festival will be bigger and better than ever, with national headliners including DJ and moombahton/electro producer Dillon Francis, amped-up indie-pop duo Matt and Kim, L.A. noise band HEALTH, Black Pistol Fire and Chef’Special on the Coors Light Stage; soulful indie-rock band Cold War Kids, Danish rockers New Politics, indie electro-punks Brick + Mortar, Grizfolk and Hometown for the Holidays winner 888 on the Bannock Street Stage; and 100 of the best bands and artists from metro Denver performing at a dozen venues in the Golden Triangle.

To determine the lineup of local acts, Westword polled more than 200 movers and shakers in the music business, everyone from promoters to fans to musicians themselves, who nominated more than 800 local bands and performers; those nominations were whittled down to more than 200 finalists divided into 29 categories on our 2016 Westword Music Awards Ballot. Close to half of those acts will perform at the Westword Music Showcase, and fans can vote for their favorites now through June 25.

The Westword Music Showcase is the largest music festival celebrating the Denver scene. It runs from noon to 10 p.m. on June 25, and tickets are now on sale. A general admission ticket gets you access to all of the participating venues, including the two outdoor stages, as well as the merchandise village; VIP tickets include all of the above, plus entry into designated VIP areas, where you’ll have two complimentary beverages and a meal ticket.

6/26: Cheese, Chocolate and Beer Tasting

An event which combines all of the best, good, good things. We've got one word: Yes. If you've had a hard week, a hard day, or even just felt annoyed ever, you deserve to come unwind with a good New World cheese and a cold, craft beer. You earned it.

The owners of New World Cheese and Chocolate Lab have teamed up on this one, so Phil and Teresa will be the duo to dish up info and nosh for this event.
