National Sports Center for the Disabled Hosts Virtual Birthday Party
On Wednesday, May 27th, the National Sports Center for the Disabled’s (NSCD) will be hosting a virtual birthday party celebrating 50 years of providing sports and recreation to more that 150,000 people living with disabilities. NSCD is known for helping their athletes build self-confidence while also improving overall health. Their programs include rock climbing, skiing, water sports and therapeutic horseback riding.
While we are living through strange and difficult times and physically distanced from our families, friends, coworkers and support systems, we are still more than able to be socially engaged. NSCD’s birthday wish is that you join them in their special celebration by eating a slice of cake or two while helping secure the financial future of their programs in the years to come – because they’re just getting started!
Since so many of us are at home right now, NSCD’s taking it online. The birthday party will be on May 27th at 3:00 p.m. and they’ll even send you a gift to help celebrate their big day! Celebrate with them by donating $25 or more and you will receive a NSCD Birthday Box complete with party horns, candles, and balloons to kick off the festivities! If you’d like to give $500 or more, you’ll also receive a limited edition 50th Anniversary NSCD hate to wear during the virtual birthday party. Celebrate with a donation of $1,000 or more and you’ll also receive two tickets to Corks & Forks (Denver, CO) to continue the celebration in person. Link to more details about the event, click here.
