ONE Championship Returns To Denver: Come Cheer On Hometown Fighter Nico Cornejo

The blockbuster event will feature matches across the entire marital arts spectrum, and two must-see World Championship bouts. Along with all the amazing fighters on the card Colorado’s own Nico Cornejo is set to battle.

·      He will make his ONE Championship debut in front of his home crowd at ONE 168: Denver on Sept 6th at Ball Arena, where he will face 18-year-old Adrian Lee of Hawaii in a Lightweight MMA bout. 

·      Nico was born and raised in Pueblo, and grew up in divided households. He was always determined to change the direction of his life as a pro fighter.

·      Nico has been wrestling since he was 8 years old and has been fighting MMA since 2019. 

·      Nico is currently a utility worker for the city of Pueblo, and spent time as a corrections officer in Pueblo prior to that.

·      Nico is an MMA coach with WarriorBuilt MMA gym in Pueblo and has been coaching youth sports like football, baseball, and wrestling since 2008.
